Capturing the Breath of the Natural World.

High-fidelity field recordings, soundscapes, and species-specific audio for documentary, research, and immersive media.

Listening Where Others Don’t.

Hi, I’m Laurent Wermenlinger and I think great nature recording isn’t just about the equipment; it’s about the silence between the sounds. I spend my time in remote corridors, waiting for the perfect dawn chorus or the subtle movement of wind through alpine grass. My approach to sound capture is rooted in patience and environmental respect. Whether I am deploying long-term drop rigs or capturing the specific vocalizations of an endangered species, I strive to bring the listener into the heart of the wild.

Two Decades of Global Sound

For over twenty years, I have built a personal archive of several thousand recordings captured across numerous countries and continents. What began as a systematic professional practice has evolved into a vast collection of acoustic worlds, from dense urban atmospheres to remote natural wilderness. To ensure its utility for filmmakers, researchers, and sound artists, the entire archive is catalogued using the Universal Category System (UCS) and includes high-fidelity WAV and 3D ambisonic formats.
